Before going into the actual content, Update Freak is here to thank you for the support and response you give on our article. We promise you to keep up our standard and work. Well, here’s a post about reasons to watch Ant-Man and the Wasp.

Marvel’s Ant-Man and the Wasp is hitting the screens this July 2018, on different dates in different countries. The early screenings are already done and the audience of the screening are out with their reviews, you need to check it out:

Kevin Feige stated that Ant-Man and the Wasp, another movie which is part of Marvel Cinematic Universe is a lot more important film than you expect. So having said that let’s get on to the main topic – 5 reasons to watch Ant-Man and the Wasp:

  1. Ant-Man and the Wasp is first MCU movie to have a female superhero in its name

One of the first reasons to watch Ant-Man and the Wasp – We saw many Marvel movies which are based on superheroes who are men. Now that Marvel needs to expand its saga, they are coming up with female leads and centrifuging them. The Wasp is actually an important character in Marvel comics.

It’s such a no-brainer that there needs to be female heroes … In the ’60s comics, the Janet van Dyne Wasp was clearly written by all men and was pretty one-dimensional. She’s gotten much more dimensionalized since then. That’s one of those things that I think is going to be really exciting and fresh about this movie.

—Director Peyton Reed on the Wasp’s inclusion in the film

Superhero abilities of the Wasp:

  • Size manipulation
  • Flight
  • Bio-electric energy blasts
  • Telepathic insect control

The abilities are same as the Ant-Man, but she got wings to fly. We witnessed her suit in the previous part of Ant-Man and its lot cooler than Ant-Man’s.

While Black Widow is featured in the MCU, since a long time, but Marvel chose an entire movie for Wasp along with Ant-Man, Natasha might be disappointed with that, but a film on Black Widow is coming up soon and it’s under a phase in pre-production.

  1. This movie explores Quantum Realm

We know that Dr.Hank Pym‘s wife is lost in quantum Realm, but we also know that she is alive. Ant-Man experiences her presence when he shrinks. As Kevin Feige said the movie will elaborate a lot on the quantum realm. This concept is actually said to be featured in the next part of Avengers, it is said that the fight scenes in the Avengers 4 will be in the quantum realm. This is one of the main reasons to watch Ant-Man and the Wasp. This movie is a great lead into the future of Marvel Cinematic Universe.

  1. Might be the funniest Marvel movie

According to the reviews and tweets from the lucky people who watched the movie in the early screenings, claimed that the movie is so much hilarious and fun. No wonder, because it might be true. Luis (Michael Peña) has been an important character in Ant-Man who stole the credits for comedy in the first part of Ant-Man. Same might be the situation for Ant-Man and the Wasp.

Luis (Michael Peña)

A few words on the possibility of Ant-Man and the Wasp to be the funniest MCU movie:

I loved #AntManAndTheWasp. I don’t think I’ve ever laughed so much in a Marvel movie, though Ragnarok is up there. Nice change of pace from Infinity War. The ensemble is perfect!
– Joseph Deckelmeier, The Hashtag Show

Ant-Man is my favorite Marvel movie. This is the sequel I’d been hoping for. I was grinning from ear to ear from start to finish. Irresistibly good fun. As exciting as it is funny, it locks along nicely and it’s visually stunning! #antmanandthewasp
– Simon Thompson

In a surprise to no one @MrPeytonReed’s #AntManAndTheWasp is a ton of fun and had the crowd laughing beginning to end. @MarvelStudios has yet another winner. @Kevfeige makes it look so easy when we all know what he’s done is next to impossible.
– Steven Weintraub, Collider

What a year for Marvel! Absolutely loved #AntManAndTheWasp. Stellar ensemble and the humor is spot on. (Laughed myself to tears during one sequence!) The tech is used to great effect yet again. Unique, highly entertaining ride I can’t wait to go on again.
– Perri Nemiroff, Collider

  1. Ant-Man and the Wasp is also a sequel to Captain America: Civil War

The movie takes place between the Captain America: Civil War and Avengers Infinity War. This movie holds a big responsibility in carrying forward the franchise.

“It is really a sequel to two movies. It’s a follow-up to ‘Ant-Man’, while also showing the aftermath of ‘Captain America: Civil War’. For me, there is a tremendous amount of excitement when you are able to tell stories like this and combine characters from their origin movies and then layer in their appearances from other movies. Because of this strategy, Ant-Man post-‘Civil War’ has now been exposed to a much bigger audience,”

– Feige in a statement to IANS.

  1. Ant-Man and the Wasp has a direct connection to Avengers 4

Again, Kevin Feige has confirmed the direct connection between the films. The tricky part, that means you won’t understand the upcoming part of Avengers if you won’t see Ant-Man and the Wasp. One of the solid reasons to watch Ant-Man and the Wasp.  You might have wondered why Ant-man was not a part of Avengers Infinity War, the answer is in the movie.

As always, the best part of the movie is not a movie, but the post credit scene. make sure you don’t miss that.

#AntManAndTheWasp is cool and all, but the end credit scene is the best part of the whole film and the only thing I can think about right now.
