The day has come, Avatar is no longer the highest-grossing movie. Avatar stood there for more than 10 years and now with an epic sequel, Marvel Studios have won the title of the highest-grossing film that is ever made. With over 21 movies behind, the line Avengers: Endgame’s hype was built from its earlier movies. All the post-credit scenes of Thanos and his gauntlet have led to a whopping collection of more than $2.5 billion. Avengers: Endgame is the Highest-Grossing film ever.
Avengers: Endgame hit the theatres on April 26, 2019, and had a collection of $1.223 billion in its opening weekend. Record after a record was broken by the movie. In its first 12 days, Endgame passed Titanic by grossing $2.28 billion. From then it took months to be on top and beat Avatar. According to a recent report, there is a difference of $500,000 between Endgame and Avatar. There will be more sale of Endgame tickets for sure.
“Thanks to you, Avengers: Endgame is the biggest film of all-time,” Feige told Hall H at the top of the Marvel panel.
Now that Avatar is getting a sequel soon, Avengers: Endgame’s position on top is not fixed and might be dethroned by the Sequel Directed by James Cameron. But until then MCU’s Endgame enjoys the first place.
Avengers: Endgame is directed by Anthony Russo and Joe Russo. The movie stars Chris Evans, Robert Downey, Jr., Chris Hemsworth, Scarlett Johansson, Mark Ruffalo, Brie Larson, Jeremy Renner, Tom Holland and many more.
On the 2019 Comic-Con International: San Diego Film Festival, Marvel has announced its line up for Phase 4 which includes Thor 4, Black Widow, Blade reboot, Doctor Strange 2, Shang-Chi and Eternals. All the following movies will be released before 2022. Coming to the Disney+ original series of the MCU, Loki, WandaVision, The Falcon And The Winter Soldier will be released in the coming years.
Marvel has it’s scheduled packed after the success of its Infinity Saga. many new superheroes are being introduced from the comics, but the only thing that hurts in spite of Avengers: Endgame is the Highest-Grossing film ever is that we don’t get to have Stan Lee’s cameos anymore.
