Marvel fans got to see the gist of Black Widow with the new teaser trailer launched on December 3(IST), 2019. Scarlett Johansson is as usually seen doing badass stunts, the movie also has many action sequences as promised. The untouched story of Natasha is tapped and her past is what the movie’s all about. There are going to be some big reunions that include Yelena Belova, Melina Vostokoff and the Red Guardian. Along with the teaser trailer, Marvel has also dropped a new teaser poster for the movie styled with Black Widow’s symbol in which Natasha is seen standing.
Scarlett Johansson shared her opinions and views about the movie holding the power of being an executive producer to the movie,
It is liberating in a way. I feel like I’m in control of the destiny of this film, which gives me a lot more peace of mind. I know her better than anybody. What was her childhood like? What is her relationship with figures of authority? This character is gritty and multi-dimensional but has a lot of trauma and has led to an unexamined life. In order to operate at this elite level, she has probably had to push away a lot of stuff.
The Infinity Saga has come to an end, but the first film of Marvel Phase 4 points back to the after events of Captain America: Civil War, Black Widow’s prequel idea must be an odd decision, but when asked about it by a fan, Kevin Feige said to trust this one.
There’s a method to the madness. There’s always a method and doing things in an unexpected way is something we find fun. There are ways to do prequels that are less informative or answer questions you didn’t necessarily have, and then there are ways to do prequels where you learn all sorts of things you never knew before.
Fans are ready to learn a lot of things. Black Widow is coming to theatres on May 1, 2020. The movie is directed by Cate Shortland. Scarlett Johansson will be back to play Black Widow, Florence Pugh as Yelena Belova, Rachel Weisz as Melina Vostokoff and David Harbour as Red Guardian. If there’s enough luck, there would be a cameo of Tony Stark played by Robert Downey Jr.
