Captain Marvel is in theatres and is taking fans into the storms of Marvel Cinematic Universe. If you haven’t watched the movie, then you have to reconsider reading this article because of major spoilers coming ahead, Captain Marvel’s Post-Credit Scenes Explained.
Just like the other Marvel movies, Captain Marvel has two post-credit scenes. The mid-credit scene and the actual post-credit scene.
For those who did not watch the movie and like to know about it, check out the Review below.
The mid-credit scene
This can be called the best part of the movie, but this isn’t the movie at all. The mid-credit scene of Captain Marvel features a scene from Avengers: Endgame. It begins with Captain America aka Steve Rogers, he’s sad and staring at something techy and Black Widow with him talking about nightmares. Rhodes walks in and says the pager is off. The group including Dr. Banner gathers around the pager. They think of rebooting it having no idea about what it is, Black Widow’s trust on Fury still remains. The moment Black Widow turns, Boom! Carol Danvers stands there. Carol asks, ‘Where’s Fury?’. That’s it. Marvel managed to show only that from Avengers: Endgame.
What I think is, this bit’s enough to draw many theories and conclusions, of which one of my favorites goes:
Carol saves Tony
No one there noticed of her(Carol Denver) arrival from space, she might be galaxies away and there she is near the pager. Carol Danvers might possess teleportation powers as the one Thanos possesses with the help of Infinity Stone. Here Carol did not even use an Infinity Stone and yet she exactly found where the pager is on the earth from galaxies away.
Finding Tony Stark might be a piece of cake for her. But there are other theories that say, Pepper might be the one who rescues Tony with the help of a special plan called Rescue. And a few others say Rocket Raccoon does it, because the space ship Tony and Nebula are traveling in is of the Guardians.
But wait, Thor’s new weapon yields the power of by Bifrost – the power to teleport anywhere in the universe. This part is too wild to guess, but my gut says Carol saves Tony.
Leaving all this apart I am very much excited to even know that Captain Marvel is a part of Avengers: Endgame and it is confirmed. Thanos has it coming. It is going to be tough competition to decide the strongest Avenger now. I vote for Captain Marvel.
The Actual Post-credit scene
Goose again, the surprise package of the movie. While in the office of Nick Fury, Goose jumps on to the table and disgorges the Tesseract. I mean, who eats an infinity Stone unless it’s a Flerken, in the form of a cat. Now many are confused right here. Like, how come the cat has space stone in its stomach, Thanos acquired it from Loki right? Thanos even used it.
But to my knowledge, this post-credit scene took place before the events of the first part of Avengers. Just calm down, The desk and the computer look old, same as the ones we saw when Nick Fury was offered a variety of eyes.
The Flerken cat was established in Marvel Comics in the year 2014 and since then, these creatures are known for their crazy abilities. They hold up huge tentacles in their mouths as seen in the movie Captain Marvel. As the cat is a huge hit now, Marvel might even put up its appearances in the further movies of theirs.
