Doctor Strange’s madness might begin sooner than expected. Tom Holland’s Spider-Man 3 will feature Benedict Cumberbatch as the Sorcerer Supreme. Spider-Man and Doctor Strange will meet on screen for the third time like they did in Avengers: Infinity War and Avengers: Endgame(but we didn’t see them speak to each other though).

Reports have confirmed about this crossover, both the characters are based from New York City and it makes sense. Out of all the upcoming Marvel movies, I am most excited for Spider-Man 3, the reason being this the last time for Tom Holland’s involvement in the MCU. After this, Spider-Man will depart from the Marvel Cinematic Universe to Sony’s Universe.

Sony Universe here means the Sony Pictures Universe of Marvel Characters. Movies like Venom, Morbius, and Venom: Let There Be Carnage are part of this universe. Spider-Man is expected to join and swing alongside these characters in the future.

Spider-Man: Far From Home is a big hit and it made both Disney and Sony more greedy about the superhero character. Both companies conflicted about money issues before, for now, Spider-Man gets to appear only once in MCU involving Marvel Studios.

In Far From Home’s mid-credit scene, Spider-Man’s true identity was revealed to the world. The third movie will end by sending Peter Parker to another multiverse probably with Doctor Strange’s magic(just my prediction). Obviously, Peter is not safe in the universe he is. This might be the decided solution to Disney-Sony fiasco.

Jamie Foxx will return to play Electro in the sequel which got fans wondering about the return of other Spider-Man actors: Tobey Maguire and Andrew Garfield. At this point, I am convinced anything can happen. DC and Marvel are doing weird multiverse stuff to please fans. All of this surely earns them good cash, however, my concern lies with the quality of story and plot.

Director of Tobey Maguire’s Spider-Man trilogy, Sam Raimi is set to direct Doctor Strange in the Multiverse of Madness. Spider-Man 3 might lay the groundwork for Stephen Strange to do all kinds of paranormal stuff. Wanda Maximoff will join to fight alongside Doctor Strange in the Raimi’s sequel.

The official title of Spider-Man 3 is yet to be announced, follow our Instagram handle to stay updated. This third instalment will bring back all the major actors to reprise their roles: Zendaya as MJ, Jacob Batalon as Ned Leeds, Marisa Tomei as May Parker. Jon Watts is the director and Tom Holland posted about the beginning of production in Atlanta.

Spider-Man 3 is dated to release on December 17, 2021, & Doctor Strange in the Multiverse of Madness on March 25, 2022.

*Note: These dates might change due to the pandemic.
