Hawkeye Actor Jeremy Renner Begins Work on New Disney+ Series

Clint Barton might not be a powerful Avenger, but he surely is a fan favourite superhero. Out of all 6 original Avengers, a few are dead and others retired. Hawkeye aka Clint Barton is still alive and has to pass his torch to a junior Hawkeye. In the comics, Kate Bishop, the successor of Hawkeye becomes a part of the junior Avengers team. Marvel Studios are planning bigger than before to assemble new superhero team for MCU. All the characters that will appear in Disney+ series of Marvel Cinematic Universe have high possibilities of appearing in the movies too, depending upon the story.

There have been a lot of delays with Hawkeye series and the show faced casting problems, Hailee Steinfeld playing Kate Bishop is still a question mark. But Hawkeye Actor Jeremy Renner shared an update on his Instagram stories about the New Disney+ Series. The story divulges about his preparations for the role and also reveals that the production has officially begun.

When spoke to Trinh Trần, film producer, about how Hawkeye has been affected after Avengers: Endgame, she said:

It was in early development in terms of discussing what the project would be and I was very interested in that character, which is why that was the answer. That was over a year ago!” Tran explained. “I think with Endgame, it’s always going to impact all of the characters that we are introducing in our Disney+ streaming shows as well as the future of features, right, for the characters that are still existing. So you’re just going to have to find… I can’t say much about that!

Tran also said that the new Hawkeye series will focus on both Clint Barton and Kate Bishop:

Well, they’re both Hawkeyes in a way, right? So you want to make sure… I’m always interested in introducing new characters. And now we have a fascinating young female who is very interested in this role. So you’re going to see a balance of both.
