WandaVision’s cast is going up the number. Many characters from the MCU have been touched and left out in the movies. Kevin Feige is taking charge and bringing back the sidekicks and funny characters back into scripts. At the D23 Expo 2019, Marvel’s president Feige has announced the joining of Kat Dennings and Randall Park to the Cast of WandaVision on Disney+.
Kat Dennings played Darcy Lewis alongside Jane Foster(Natalie Portman) in Thor Franchise. She was depicted in Thor and Thor: The Dark World, but in Thor: Ragnarok, both Darcy, and Jane were absent. Coming to Randall Park, he was seen in Ant-Man and the Wasp as an FBI agent with the name Jimmy Woo. He was funny and ensured Scott remained in the house.
Both Kat Dennings and Randall Park are humorous characters and this sets the tone of the Disney+ Series. We know Vision is dead in Avengers: Infinity War, meaning either the series will take place before the events of Infinity War or Vision will be resurrected. There are many possibilities for WandaVision but how will Marvel take it forward is still unknown. Paul Bettany who plays Vision said,
As the scripts keep rolling in that we get allowed to read, it is so funny and it just ends up being this huge epic. The writing’s so extraordinary, thank you very much. We don’t know about the directing yet, but we’ll see about that.
The series will also include Kathryn Hahn, who will be seen as a “nosy neighbor that’s stirring up trouble”. Teyonah Parris is in too as Monica Rambeau as witnessed in Captain Marvel. Elizabeth Olsen said,
We’re so excited to start shooting. This is going to be so wacky and fun, I am so excited to share it with everyone.
