Mission: Impossible – Fallout Story
The story begins with a message delivery from Ethan Hunt’s boss. The message says about the arms dealer Jhon Lark and a group of terrorists who call themselves – The Apostles. These terrorists plan to use three plutonium cores for bomb blasts on religious places, which are Vatican, Jerusalem and Mecca, Saudi Arabia.
The bombs constitute high tech machines and three plutonium cores which Ethan Hunt and his team try to acquire with a business deal. The plan fails because Ethan Hunt saves his teammate at the cost of losing the radioactive cores.
Ethan Hunt and the IMF team join forces with CIA assassin August Walker, with no choice left to prevent the disaster from happening and the also stop the cores from falling into the wrong hands.
The movie’s backbone and the sole rider – Ethan Hunt (Tom Cruise) – This is the man and reason to watch the film.
What has he not done in the Mission Impossible franchise? He has covered all sorts of stunts in the course of the franchise. But in this movie, Oh my god! he crossed his line to save the world. The stunts are remarkable. We have seen the bike chasing scene in Rouge Nation and we see another on here too, but this one is way more thrilling because Ethan is being chased on streets of London.
The best and crazy part of the movie is the climax, there might be a few spoilers ahead, but worth a read. The movie takes its path to a climax where Ethan has to chase the enemy where both of them are on the helicopter, What?! The chasing happens in the air and the sequence gives a truly nail-biting thrill you’ll ever experience on Mission Impossible film.
Coming to the logical part, The hero never dies, like never. The story is set in such a way that he is kept alive and even his team too. Fallout has raised that stacks on keeping the team alive – Luther Stickell, Benjamin “Benji” Dunn and Ilsa Faust. In this movie, the team accepts to work on a suicide mission, which means if the mission fails, no one is coming out alive.
Every Mission Impossible movie comes up with a new tech or gadget, but in this film, the face mask remained the supreme weapon to rule out and fool the bad guys. No bigger updates on gadgets and weapons. But the villains came up with one crazy upgrade, which the nuclear bomb. The bomb is lit AF. Most of the films are like, there’s a wire which has to be cut to deactivate and prevent the blast. But here – NO, The Apostles create two bombs which are not diffusable, when one is deactivated, the other one is sent signals to blow off.
Every sociopath or psychopath has his own reason for causing terror or destruction. In Mission: Impossible – Fallout the antagonists follow this motto – ‘The greater the suffering, the greater the peace‘. Come on don’t judge them, they are psychopaths. Remember Solomon Lane, he is not dead, he was just captured and he returns in his flick holding a major role in the terror attack. Being a British, he played a very satisfying role leading The Apostles in placing the bomb and delivering superb dialogues.
The film also included an emotion touch bring back Ethan’s wife – Julia Meade. Luther explains to Ilsa that Ethan has cared only about two women in the world, one is Julia, and the other is Ilsa, Luther requests Ilsa to quit the mission for Ethan, but she doesn’t, but to Ethan’s bad, Julia is sent to the place where the bomb is set for a project, if the bomb goes off, the franchise ends.
The cinematography is what kept the movie alive, all the stunts are shot at their best. Credits to Rob Hardy, a stunning job.
