The director of the movie, Matt Reeves has announced the casting on Twitter on Friday afternoon, tweeting a gif of Peter Sarsgaard with a caption, “Oh… Hi, Peter…”. The tweet also mentions a bat emoji, relating to The Batman movie.
When the casting was done with other actors, Matt Reeves mentioned a hashtag revealing the character’s name which the actor is going to play. But that didn’t happen with Sarsgaard. A lot of guesswork is taking place right now and the actors’ role is not yet out. Many assume that he is playing Harvey Dent aka Two-Face because the gif has two faces. Could be true or could be not?
The lead role of Batman aka Bruce Wayne is played by Robert Pattinson who is famous for his role in the Twilight Saga as Edward Cullen.
