All the superhero movies took a turn with Spider-Man(2002). Since then the superhero industry has changed and developed a lot. Sam Raimi who directed the movie and indeed the whole trilogy of Spider-Man, admitted that he is stilled haunted by the fourth Spider-Man movie that he didn’t get to make. Sam Raimi Is Still Thinking what could have happened if the 4th one was produced.

In a recent interview with Yahoo, Sam Raimi talked about his movie Crawl that released after a weeks release of Spider-Man: Far From Home. The topic then shifted to his regret of not making another Spider-Man movie, which still haunts him all the time. He said,

I think about it all the time. Itโ€™s hard not to because each summer another Spider-Manย film comes out! So when you have an unborn one, you canโ€™t help but think what might have been. But I try to focus on what will be, and not look into the past

As the movie was canceled and never been made, Sam spoke about his plans for the movie publicly, he wanted to introduce Vulture who is an arch-nemesis to Spider-man in the comics. Marvel Studios took the chance and brought Vulture into the MCU featuring in Spider-man: Homecoming which went to be a hit and brought back the craze Spider-Man once had.

He revealed his inspirations and interests about getting in horror movies and sci-fi thrillers,

I was super-influenced by those movies, and I also loved the Hammer horror films. But I was more influenced by Stan Leeโ€™s comic books and the great artists like John Romita and Jack Kirby who told stories with visuals that had a real in-your-face, over-the-top presentation. I was trying to bring that kind of imagery to life in thoseย Spider-Manย films

Sam Raimi’s third Spider-Man movie which had Venom as the villain got mixed reviews and was slashed to be a bad movie. This fired up Sam Raimi and he planned for the fourth and he also blamed Sony for not cooperating with his ideas and walked away from the franchise. Tobey Maguire and Kirsten Dunst joined him and then Sony had to reboot the Spider-Man franchise, starring Andrew Garfield which ended miserably after two movies. Now, when Marvel and Sony made a new deal and placed Spider-Man in the Marvel Cinematic Universe, where Tom Holland plays Peter Parker, fan liked it and are very much interested in seeing more Spider-Man.
