Game of Thrones season 8 left a Starbucks coffee cup on a table and took the internet by storm. That worked well with Starbucks which had a billion-dollar sale after the episode aired on HBO. Similar to that, The Mandalorian episode 4 which streamed on Disney+ on November 29, left a boom mic on top of a shot.

“Chapter 4: Sanctuary” takes place in Sorgan, which is a forest planet. Villagers on Sorgan are regularly raided by Klatooinian thugs and The Mandalorian(Pedro Pascal) gets hired who with the help of Cara Dune(Gina Carano) drives the thugs off. Omera(Julia Jones), a widowed villager gets attracted to the Mandalorian and in one of the conversations they have, a boom mic is left on top of the shot.

The makers of Game of Thrones edited the Coffee cup out of the episode, there’s no update if Disney is going to do the same. Being such a hit show, it becomes an embarrassment to know how small mistakes can lead to greater let downs. The Mandalorian has become more popular than many of the hit Netflix shows. Star Wars fans have reacted to the show in a positive way. Many have not noticed the boom mic first, because all of them were overloaded with Baby Yoda’s cuteness. But a fan has noticed and put that out to the public.

Way back in September, Bryce Dallas Howard who directed the episode described her experience of filming,

Getting to be a director, part of The Mandalorian, it’s been like…Jon [Favreau] didn’t even know that about me. It was a dream come true on so many levels. He’s a brilliant filmmaker, but a better mentor — he just wants to share in the excitement and passion of filmmaking and what’s possible. Nothing about it that’s proprietary. It’s let’s push this forward and see what else can happen. I was doing Dads at the same time I was shooting Mandalorian and the stuff I was learning from Jon Favreau was completely applicable to a documentary.

The Mandalorian is streaming on Disney+. For more updates on Disney+ shows and movies, follow Update Freak on Instagram and Twitter.
