Every Spider-Man fan fell for Venom trailer that was released in the summer of 2018. Venom released on 5 October 2018 and fans associations got divided about the movie. A few liked it and the others weren’t satisfied. Superhero era is changing and we are seeing standalone movies of famous villains. Venom was a start, Warner Bros. made Joker and Morbius is on its way. The whole idea of comic book movies is turning around.
Venom’s mid-credit scene introduced Cletus Kasady, the person who will be a host to Carnage symbiote, like how Eddie Brock is for Venom. The interesting thing about Cletus Kasady is that he is a criminal and psychopath, his introduction took place in a prison cell in San Quentin Prison when Eddie went to interview him. Kasady promised, when he is out, ‘there’s gonna be Carnage’. Basing on this very dialogue, the title for Venom 2 is now official, Venom: Let There Be Carnage. I mean, how goofy is that?
Can’t blame anyone here, the entire Venom franchise is weird as hell. The first movie was humorous and dark, only focused on Venom and how symbiote thing works. We have no clue on how the red symbiote ended up on earth. There are a million rumours on Spider-Man going the franchise. Tom Holland’s Spider-Man will be in the MCU for another last movie, after that, he completely belongs to Sony, who is working hard to develop its own Spider-Man universe.
We already have two movies of Venom, Jared Leto’s Morbius is another villain-ish kinda movie and its trailer teased something related to Marvel Cinematic Universe by featuring MCU’s Vulture, which made everyone lose their minds. There are updates about a Sinister Six movie in development. Sinister Six is a notorious group of villains, who are Vulture, Electro, Doctor Octopus, Kraven the Hunter, Sandman, and Mysterio. When Tom Holland exits Marvel, it’s gonna be savage.
The first part of Venom might have been treated badly by critics and reviews, even so, Venom turned out to be a success. The movie grossed $856.1 million worldwide, that’s profit. Let There Be Carnage is directed by Andy Serkis and not Ruben Fleischer. Tom Hardy will reprise his role as Eddie Brock aka Venom, Woody Harrelson is the new villain playing the role of Carnage: The Red Slayer. Michelle Williams will be back as Anne Weying, Eddie’s love interest. Moonlight star Naomie Harris is joining the Cast. Reid Scott and Stephen Graham are other confirmed actors in the movie. The only sad thing is, there won’t Stan Lee’s cameo in Venom 2.
Venom: Let There Be Carnage will be releasing on June 25, 2021, which was originally the release date of Matt Reeves The Batman. The DC movie is postponed to October 2, 2021. Venom 2 is free to breathe some air and do good at the box office. The shooting of the movie is said to be done and we will soon witness the trailer.
