Half the population in the Universe was turned to dust and then came back after five years. In my earlier articles, I mentioned about Aunt May’s reaction, when Peter Parker comes back to life after 5 long years, how will she take it. But the director of Spider-Man: Far From Home, Jon Watts shed some light on the whereabouts of a few main characters of Far From Home and their situation after Thanos’ snap, which also answers the question – Was Aunt May Snapped By Thanos Before Spider-Man: Far From Home?
In an interview with Fandango, Watts told that Aunt May was also turned to dust and died along with half the population in the universe. When Thanos snapped for the first time in Avengers: Infinity War, main heroes including Peter Parker died, Luckily after the revelation about Aunt May, we know that even she died, as Watts said,
She disappeared and came back.
The director discussed a lot about the movie and said far From Home focuses on the results of the resurrection of half of the universe, as the trailer showed the grievances of Peter and Hogan on Tony’s death.
I’ve always seen Spider-Man as the most relatable superhero for that reason. He is on the ground level of this fantastic universe.
So many things happened in Endgame, but you don’t see any of the fallout. So I used Peter Parker/Spider-Man as an opportunity to get that ground-level perspective to show you what it would look like if all these crazy things had happened. What would day-to-day life be? If you were snapped away, you’d have to work backwards and retake your midterms.
Aunt May knows Peter’s little secret and in the teaser trailer, we were shown that she endures about Peter being Spider-Man. A twist in the story and we also know about – Was Aunt May Snapped By Thanos Before Spider-Man: Far From Home? The aftermath of the snap will be detailed in the first movie of MCU’s phase 4, Spider-Man: Far From Home is releasing on July 2, 2019.
