Avengers: Endgame was all about the main 6 Avengers. The Marvel Cinematic Universe began with the 6 and Endgame has done justice to these 6, well not all 6 but to most of them. Winning the war against Thanos was pretty hard, I know that. Each and every one of them had a key role to play. So making a list of Most Valuable Players, that too ranked, might seem a bit weird and not right. But to know who has done what and how much contribution each Avenger gave, this is the best way to find that out.
Here’s the list of Who Are The Top 10 MVPs of Avengers: Endgame?
Just a guy with Bow and Arrow, right from the beginning. Clint Barton did not have any superpower, but the way he contributed to the team is phenomenal. Avengers: Endgame began with Clint, we missed him in Avengers: Infinity War, but except for that war, we saw him play a key role in every other Avengers movie. The thing he and Natasha did at Vormir was something unforgettable. If Clint would have succeeded in sacrificing his life for the soul stone, he would have gone up this list, but he did not, he at least tried, that is the reason why he is not the list.
Going with facts and stats, let me tell you something, in whichever team Hawk-Eye served till date, that team won, when he was mind-controlled by Loki using Mind stone, Loki had the upper hand, when Hawk-eye joined hands with Captain America in Civil War, Steve and Bucky were successful in escaping from the Airport. Yeah, I know Clint is not directly linked to those victories, but I feel it, Hawk-Eye is the major player in making teams win battles.
9. Nebula & Rocket Raccoon
I thought and thought for a very long time to give different places for these two, but I could not. I ranked them at different positions but did not feel correct about that, so gave one equal position to both. Nebula and Rocket are from space, they are the ones who supplied space ship to the team.
In the beginning, when Tony and Nebula were stuck in space, Tony got a good company in Rocket’s ship. Since then these two were helpful ones to the Avengers and became Avengers eventually. Though Nebula fucked up in between, not on purpose I give her that, but her past self(Nebula 2014) was really annoying in the movie.
God of Thunder! The Russo Brothers made Thor the most important character in Avengers; Infinity War. Just to remind you, Infinity War began with the defeat of Thor, he lost his brother Loki, from there, the story went on to Thor making a weapon to defeat Thanos, then to losing the war and half the population in the universe. Ater that, the story writers agreed to make Thor a weak contributor in bringing back half the population, but a rich contributor in making us laugh.
He turned into an alcoholic and his 6 packs were killed horribly. then he wasn’t the strongest Avenger at all. But after acquiring the Aether from Jane Foster, Thor’s help in fighting Thanos back on earth was really staggering and cool. Thor bringing his old hammer – Mjolnir to the future, oh my god! that was the best part of him in the movie. Captain America seemed to worthy and gave a huge pain in the ass to Thanos, because of Thor.
7. Captain Marvel
Most of us thought she will be the one who will be fighting Thanos head to head and defeat him, but we also forgot that the movie’s about the first 6 Avengers. well, her little bits of help played a bigger impact on the game. She helped in rescuing Tony and Nebula. That was really important to the story to proceed forward.
In the end, the thing with the rain fire, that almost could have ruined the fight for the heroes. In the movie Captain Marvel, the climax to place for a reason. Carol Danvers after discovering her true powers was able to wreck all the space ships of the bad guys. The one Thanos had in Endgame was larger and much more dangerous. Captain Marvel did not wait for another second in smashing the ship of Thanos. These two little bits of help from her had a bigger impact.
Oh, I almost forgot the Gauntlet passing scene, because of that happening, we got to see the replica scene of Thanos and Captain America, the one where Steve Rogers held back Thanos for a few seconds by holding his Guanlet in Infinity War. Now the same situation took place, with the other captain and we got to know, that Captain Marvel is much powerful than Thanos without the Gauntlet. The sad part is that the mad titan used the Power stone against her.
6. Captain America
Just a man with his shield and can do a few things the whole day. Do you know why Captain America is worthy of wielding Thor’s hammer, if you don’t, you must read the other article I wrote about the reason behind the wielding?
After half the population was gone into dust, Steve Rogers still had hope in bringing the dead back. Even after 5 years. He believed in the idea pitched by Scott Lang. That’s what led the whole team forward. Captain Rogers must be given the credit. His decisions were crucial at every step forward, whether it was agreeing to go back in time or even going back further into the past from the New York battle after Tony lost the Space stone.
The most amazing part was the hammer-wielding. Thor would have been dead if it wasn’t for Captain America. Even after his shield was cut in half, he stood up. He led the ones that came up from the dust, ‘Avengers Assemble’.
The story doesn’t end there. The stones had to be placed back from the time they were brought, Steve did not resist with that and as a reward, he got a chance to dance with the love of his life.
5. Brue Banner
Wait, Why is Bruce banner above Captain America? This is a bit contradicting decision. But I am confident about my decision. The only Avenger who was fit and could survive the snapping was Brue Banner. I am not even saying Hulk. Hulk is long gone. It was all Bruce Banner, who took the risk of snapping. And if I am correct, it was his idea of placing back the stones from the time they took it. His came up with the idea while convincing The Ancient One to take the Eye of Agamotto aka Time Stone to the future.
Bruce couldn’t bring back Natasha’s life but, he is one of the biggest MVP of the Endgame.
4. Black Widow
The most underrated Avenger Ever, Hawk-Eye at least had bow and arrow. Even in the trailer, we all laughed when Natasha was preparing for the battle with little guns. But look at where she is now. We all miss her the most after Tony. This place might have been Hawk-Eye’s but it isn’t. A soul for the soul. The unsnapping was impossible with even one single stone missing. Badly the soul had to be of Black Widow.
The way she was committed to the plan was more than what the team asked for. The only way forward was someone dying on Vormir. There were no Pym particles left, that’s what they knew at that point of time. Natasha was the bravest of them all. No superpower, no suit, and not even a shield, but her sacrifice is unmeasurable. I still believe in the fact that she can wield Thor’s hammer and she is worthy of it. She did not try in lifting the hammer in Age of Ultron, guess now we’ll never know.
Why did the Avengers wait for 5 long years to make a time machine or Quantum Realm traveler or whatever you call it? Because of this guy, right here – Scott Lang. He was the one who came up with the idea of the Quantum Realm and shit. Scott Lang was the one who convinced Captain America and Black Widow and also gave them hope because he lost his.
That makes Ant-Man stand on the third position of Who Are The Top 10 MVPs of Avengers: Endgame?
2. Iron Man
Now comes the man, whom we love 3000 times. Thanos almost killed Iron Man, that stab in his stomach in Infinity War, when all the audience in the theatres went, ‘What the F….?’. But Doctor Strange went on to rescue Tony, giving up the Time Stone, in spite of his own warning of doing the opposite in such situation. All the future and fate of the story was sealed when Strange saw 14 million possibilities from the future. The one and only one possibility where they won, required Tony to survive and he did.
All the events and all the story led to that one moment where Iron Man had all the stones on his hand and he needed to snap with his life on the line. Tony knew that right at that very moment. He was destined for that. The MCU began with Iron Man in 2008 with this snapping event pre-planned for the future. Though the death of Tony was a surprise and shock, Marvel Studios hinted it coming right from the beginning. Hence he is the most valuable player of the Infinity Saga only after the Sorcerer Supreme.
1. Doctor Strange
Yeah, the Sorcerer Supreme is this guy. I will do my best to justify my opinion in case you don’t agree with me. Thanos had 14 million possibilities of winning, whereas Avengers had only one. Thanks to Doctor Strange for foreseeing the future. If Doctor Strange would have not saved Iron Man’s life and protected the stone instead, Tony would have been dead long ago and Thanos would have acquired the Time Stone anyway because he already had 4 stones on his Gauntlet.
After that, the one possibility that existed would have ceased to exist. Doctor Strange’s one decision and the most confusing one, played the most important role in winning the battle against Thanos.
I mean like the whole movie; Avengers: Endgame happened according to that one possibility, Strange spoke about. He is the true mastermind behind the victory, yet he had to be turned into dust for a little while.
Apart from the Avengers, there was another thing that helped in winning, the thing that was crawling in the van. That’s Rat was the true MVP of the Endgame and we thank that little creature for making things the way they should have.
